Uutiset - NewsIt´s all about the right gear!05.06.2017 Together with the Ladies´ Shortgunclub "The shotgun Pearls" we visited a specilized optician last autumn. They introduced the ZEISS iProfiler lenses and I got interested. Now I have a pair of those lenses - and I can see stuff!! I no longer need to take the glassed off to read small print and also I am supposed to see alot better in the dark - this is yet to be proven as we are currently enjoying the long daylight hours. But definitely should be useful, also thinking about the upcoming duck hunting season. The goggles have different areas for far- and near-sightedness, so occassionally my vision is blurred, if I am using the wrong section of the lense. But this is something that is very easy to learn, and after a week I hardly ever make a mistake. So even an old brain like myself, I do learn new stuff! Shooting? Well, I usually do not use goggles when I am shooting - but it just may change, if I can at some point find the money and get prescription goggles for shooting, too. For that my choice will be the Silmäasema Lahti and Optician Koljonen. He was so kind to appreciate my wishes about a concrete strong case (thinking about my GSP) for the goggles - he sent two! You can see the pic on my Instragram-account. This is what I call true customer service! In the shooting arena I´ll be looking forward to some test shooting events provided by Sako-Beretta, Hjorth and other manufactures/distributers - maybe there´s one near you, too! At the last competition I got a chance to shoot with Caesar Guerini shotguns - and I must say, I was impressed. I shot a lot better than with my own.. Even with 32" barrels, the gun was balanced and fit me - apart from one of the guns having too long a stock for me - perfectly. I may have to take a closer look :) |
