Uutiset - NewsSuomi 100 - Finland 10006.12.2017 My home country celebrates her 100th year of Independence - Finland, you´re the best! I took my GSP out for pheasant hunt - and hunt we did. There was no wind, some new snow and dry frost - it proved to be very difficult. I walked more than 10 km today, I can only have a rough idea of how many km my dog run. I am quite pleased about his working attitude, he did work even if towards the end of the day, his speed slowed down a bit. The birds were super shy today, a little too quick to get to their feet and wings, if were found at all. A good reminder of how the dogs do need some help from the wind to find game. Because of the frost and some harsh terrain, poor dog got his balls frost bitten. He is relaxing on the sofa and seems to be tired but happy - as am I. My country, Finland celebrates 100 years of independence and I feel very fortunate to have the citizenship and home here. May we continue to be a nation of environmental conscious, respect for work and one another! I would like to continue developing and educating myself, enjoying the great outdoors and the ever so lovely company of my dogs and few trusted friends! At the moment though - there' s hardly place for me on the sofa - but I´ll raise my glass!! |
