Uutiset - NewsAbout eating meat...17.11.2018 I just got back from the shooting range. This time, rifle shooting. With some mixed feelings, really. I used a bipod for the first time with my rifle, and here´s how it went. I have about 60 shots with my rifle, the shooting test included. It does help to have quite a lot of shotgun experience, I´m not spooked by the recoil, even if it is different with a rifle. My gun does not have a silencer yet, so it kicks back that much harder. For me, the real technique comes with breathing and squeezing the trigger, rather than just moving the barrels ahead of the target, as I try to do with a shotgun. Also, my sin in shotgun shooting, bending too much forward from the waist is something I need to be aware of. So this time, I´m using a bipod, a tall one, so I´m standing when shooting. At first it feels anything but stable, and all of my shots go down - and pretty much all over the place. I need to focus on my upper body position - trying to think back, what I was taught at the Rifle School. And my aim gets better, but still not happy - the pattern leaves room for improvement :) I´m also trying to shoot with both of my eyes open - as I do with shotgun. I have a Zeiss riflescope, and it´s the one I´ll be learning with. The owner doesn´t know that yet - but Then I run into some problems, I cannot get the gun to eject the empty case. Luckily, And I will. Tonite tho, it´s time for some decent French red! Santé! My gear.
The worst two giving me hard time! Funny! I just realized, I was supposed to write about eating meat - but I got totally caught by rifle shooting. I´m not going to change the title of this post tho - I´ll just finish by saying. I´ll have some meat tonite. The red is really nice - on it´s own too, but even better with some red meat. It´ll be moose! |
