Erämessut Goes Range - Benelli Show

Riihimäen Erämessut on koonnut erähenkistä väkeä yhteen jo vuodesta 1972. Aikaisemminkin tapahtumassa on ollut koeammunta ja show, mutta sitten lakkautettiin Riihimäen ampumarata ja koemmunnat jäivät. Tänä kesänä koeammunta tekee paluun! Lopen ampumarata isännöi isoa ilmaistapahtumaa, jossa on mahdollista kokeilla haulikkoa, kivääriä, pistoolia, toiminnallista/SRA -ammuntaa ja Metsästäjäliiton luoticompacia. Ehdottomana herkkuna on italialaisen Davide de Caroliksen show - päivittäin kahdesti, sunnuntaina kerran.

Mukaan ovat ilmoittautuneet Benellin lisäksi myös Nordis Oy, Asetalo Oy, Hantaurus Oy, EnsioFireArms Oy - ja maksutta messuvierailijoille myös patruunat (rajallinen määrä, toki). Asetta ei kannata ostaa kokeilematta, niinpä tämä on ehdottomasti mitä mainioin tilaisuus tulla kokeilemaan - eikä aikaisempaa kokemusta välttämättä tarvita, saat ohjeet ja neuvot paikanpäällä henkilökohtaisesti! Lopen ampumaradan ja messualueen välillä liikennöi bussi, joten samalla käynnillä voit kokea molemmat, toki suosittelemme molempiin omaa päivää - onhan sekä messu- että ampumarata-alueella koko päiväksi nähtävää - ja ruokaa tietysti myös!

Tätä kirjoittaessani poliisin sähköinen ampuma-aseen lupaprosessi on avattu ja ollut heti ilmeisen suosittu; poliisi kertoo kolmen ensimmäisen viikon aikana vastaanottaneensa noin 3000 hakemusta, valitettavan moni puutteellisena - mutta silti! Jos on ollut fiksusti, eikä ole ensikertalainen, eikä muutenkaan ole puutteita hakemuksessa tai hakijassa, voi saada hankkimisluvan käymättä erikseen poliisiasemalla. Hankittu ase toki (vielä?) pitää käydä esittämässä ennen varsinaisen aseluvan saamista. Iso parannus silti - vaikka hintaakin on: eur 113!!!

Mutta kesäkuussa 7.-9. Lopen ampumarata on toivottavasti sopivasti täynnä ampumaurheilusta ja metsästyksestä kiinnostuneita ihmisiä - ja me olemme siellä vastaanottamassa! Benellit ja muut kokeiltavana - tervetuloa!

I am fortunate to have a really nice and versatile shooting range at a reasonable distance. In fact, the closest range is just some 20 km away, and the bigger one just under 30 km. And the bigger one will host a great test shooting event as part of the Riihimäki
Sportsmen´s Fair - our women´s shooting club will be there to make sure the three days run smoothly. Interesting brands will be at visitors´ disposal, Benelli also included. Benelli will also present the Italian extreme shooter; Mr. Davide de Carolis, who will have two shows daily, one on Sunday. The public is welcome to try not only shotguns, but rifles and pistols, too. The Finnish Hunters´ Association will host a bullet compaq -shooting, should be an interesting station, too! 

Last summer I worked at the Okra Farmers´ Fair - and it was so obvious; people need to see each other in person after the Covid years. Don´t get me wrong, I am a strong supporter of online learning and meetings, but having said that I also acknowledge the downsides. And generally I dislike meetings. A lot. Most of them nobody has prepared for and they are way too long, I´m all for meetings, where cases are presented, very briefly discussed and decisions made - and it can be done only, if they are well prepared and attendees actually read the material in advance.

So, I think - weather permitting - the Fair will get a large gathering, and I am happy to be involved, even if everything to else, I have tried to say no to. It´s been a hell of a year at work - and not in a positive sense, so I´ve cut back on most voluntary tasks I have had. It is time to enjoy and live a little!! And with that, I am looking forward to good times at the range, getting myself ready for the new season - and any new thing that may come along ;) Cannot wait!!
