Haulikkohelmet - The Shotgun Pearls ♥️

Liityin Haulikkohelmiin (https://haulikkohelmet.blogspot.com/) syksyllä 2015. Kyseessä on vallan iloinen ja mutkaton ampuma- ja jahtiporukka, joka tarjoilee jäsenilleen myös muuta leppoisaa tekemistä; viininmaistajaisista showroom-tapahtumiin. Olen ollut varsin aktiivinen jäsen, erilaista pimeäammuntaa ja jahtia on tullut järjestettyä ja viimeiset kaksi (?) vuotta yhdistyksen puheenjohtajana. Olin päättänyt jo syksyllä, että kausi on nyt tällä erää viimeinen ja tänään uusi puheenjohtaja, Pia Julin otti homman hoitaakseen - ja minä siirryin rivijäseneksi. 

Tuntuu mukavalta olla pitkästä aikaa vailla velvollisuuksia ja valita vaan mukavista tapahtumista ne, joihin haluan osallistua. Toki ihan kädetönnä en aio jatkossakaan olla, kyllä se rautainen ilta täytyy järjestää - eli porukalla kokeillaan omille aseillemme sopivat teräspatruunat. Jos OmaRiistan tai Trackerin (tai jatkossa Lafayetten, kiinnostava tulokas!) kartta-ainestoa katsoo, on haulikon kanssa syytä varautua lyijynkorvikkeilla, siksi runsaasti kosteikoiksi luokiteltavia alueita on. Tiedossa myös on, että omalle aseelle sopiva panos on kokeiltava - ja vaihtoehtoja kyllä riittää. Kaivelin omia varastojani ja yhtäkkiä löytyy kuutta erilaista teräs- tai muuta korvikepatruunaa. Näiden kanssa supistus on sitten kireimmillään puolikas, mutta Benelli Raffaello Be Diamond A.I BE.S.T aseen mukana tulee täyssuppea, joka ON merkitty myös teräspatruunalle sallituksi - mielenkiinnolla odotan minkälaista peittoa ja kuvaa eri patruunat sillä tuottavat.

I have been too happy to volunteer to do million things in and out of work. No more. Today one very pleasant era came to an end (for now at least)  as I handed over the chairmanship after two years, and having served as a board member before that. I have always wanted to offer events, I started with pheasant and pigeon hunts, then we had winter night shooting - the range was lit, but it was very peculiar to shoot without daylight. We´ve been to the optucian, beauty salon, organized competitions, bought cartridges together to save some money - mind you, shooting has become rather expensive hobby with the current state of the world, and there´s a raise in VAT (24 % --> 25,5 %) coming up as well..

But, I am not completely giving up, I ofcourse stay on as a member, and as the new chairwoman reminded me today - I can still organise and plan events. And something I will make happen this summer is the Steel Evening. I have no idea what kind of steel cartridge works best with my new Benelli - so I´ll gather different kind of steel, put up some targets so we can shoot and compare what eg. Cheddite or a Winchester cartrdiges can do. The EU has enacted a leadban on wetlands, and if you take a look at the hunting maps - there are A LOT of hectares, where lead is not a legal option - so let´s get ready for the upcoming hunting season. The roedeer buck - by the way - is currently open, but I need to find the time to go stalking. In a few weeks´ time I will be on holiday, but the roedeer buck season is also very short - only until June 15. Busy does not seem to ever end...
